It's official!

Hi All,
Roxy Designs is now open for business! I filed my DBA this morning. Now all I need to do is get my tax id and design a logo. I have a couple of ideas for the logo and as soon as I have one I'll show you.

The last time I posted, I promised pictures. So here are a few.
Isn't this little bird adorable? It was a free download from Heart Warming Vintage. I used SU textured red riding hood, garden green, so saffron, and brocade blue paper. Birds and swirls CB folder behind the bird and I can't remember the name of the other CB folder I used under the sentiment.
For this one I used the new inchies from Inkadinkadoo. The sentiment is from one of Joanne's $1 stamps bin. I wanted something clean and minimalistic. SU's redriding hood textured paper and ink.Now this one uses SCS sketch challenge #204. The stamps are from the Inkadinkadoo inchies again. SU purley pommegranate ribbon, ink and textured pink pirouette. The shimmer paper came from Clear Artistic Stamps. The hearts are embossed on silver shimmer paper with silver EP. I really like the look of this shimmer paper embossed. Swiss dots is one of my favorite CB folders.

Well, it's time to sign off for tonight. Things to do, things to do.

Blessings!

I've been tagged!

My laptop is up and running! yea!!!!! So of course I had to catch up on blogs. My friend Kim tagged me. I'm to go to my 6th folder in My Pictures and post the 6th photo here. Well, folder #6 only had 2 pictures in it,( my son's Harley he bought when he returned from Iraq). So I went to my 7th folder and pick the 6 th picture. Here it is.........

This picture was taken October 23, 2007. The day my son returned home from Iraq. This was at the welcome home celebration at the Armory. The person holding the umbrella is standing in front of the Armory. The flag flying from the fire truck was at the intersection by the armory. The bus carrying our soldiers came down the street toward us, under the flag and turned into the armory parking lot. It was a cold damp day, but all were warmed by the love for their soldiers.

Ok. So now I need to tag 5 friends.

Just pick the 6th photo from your 6th folder in your My Pictures folder.

Ok, I need to run, but I promise I will have cards to share in my next post.

Birthday Cards

Hi again,
Just wanted to share some birthday cards I made recently. This one was for DH. He turned 46 last week. The stamps are from Gina K, King of the Grill set. DH wanted Korean for his birthday dinner, so we met up with our oldest son in the city to celebrate. He was in the city for a gun collector's show. It was a nice meal and visit. Unfortunately DD had to go back to college earlier in the day, so she couldn't join us. It was just us and the boys.

This was for a co-worker's birthday we celebrated yesterday. The BG paper was a christmas gift from DD.
And this was for my supervisor who's birthday was this past week. He is a jack of all trades. He's quite the Magyver, fixing things with what ever he has laying around. These images also came from King of the Grill.
This card was done for a co-worker's daughter. She loves plm trees. And because her brother and cousin got Roxy cards for their birthdays, she was expecteing no less from her mom.

My craft area is disgusting! I can't find anything anywhere. Maybe tomorrow I'll be able to make some sort of sense out of it. I doubt it because the reason it's such a wreck is that there's no space for anything. At least there is a path through the study. :-) I think it's time to clean house....at least the study.
Blessings!

Happy New Year - SBS23 Challenge

Long time no blog! It has been the craziest time lately. The laptop has been down again, and DH has to fix it. He thought he had it fixed and then found out today that there was more to it than he thought. So I'm on the desktop and it is horrible! So here is tyhe card I made for the January challenge for SBS # 23. The challenge was to incorporate a time piece, drink and bling into our card.
The BG paper is black and gray striped with glitter dots down all of the strips. It really is very sparkly, but doesn't show up too well in the photo. I used silver embossing poweder for all of the images to give it some more bling. It's not one of my best, or my favorite, but heck, it's been one of those days.

So here's the link to the challenge page http://sbs23challenges.blogspot.com/ to see all of the other cards. The challenge closes tomorrow.
Blessings!
