3 Hams and some flowers for Christmas.

Aren't these two a couple of cuties? Actually, they are a couple of hams. They are the children of our niece. DH's sibs and kids came over yesterday for a Christmas visit. Let me tell you about these two. VERY energetic, but VERY well behaved. They kept all of us entertained. My kids, all in their 20's, had a blast with them. The little princess wanted to go home when they first got here, but when it was time to go, she wanted to stay.
We had a nice visit. I was still not feeling the greatest, but DH and DD took care of dinner for me,(they spoil me you know). We had a ham and some other yummy stuff. I did make my Grandma's recipe for Gingerbread. You serve it fresh out of the oven with fresh made whip cream. I was told it was delic. Of course, I couldn't tell because I really couldn't taste much.
So there are the 3 hams,(2 toddlers and an actual ham to eat), now what about the flowers....
This photo is one of several Christmas gifts I made for special friends of mine. Stamp and paper is from SU. I stamped the image with white craft ink and then used prisma colored pencils and a blender pen. Interesting thing was that when I used the blender pen, it kind if brought up some of the ink from below, giving it a painted effect. Wasn't what I had planned, but I was very pleased with the results.

Well, off to get ready for tonight's visitors. DD's friends from high school are all home from college so they're all coming over here tonight.

Blessings!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Unfortunately I don't have a photo to share. I've been sick these past few days and haven't had the energy to create. Just getting off the sofa takes all my energy. I'm feeling somewhat better this morning and am praying for much improvement throughout the day. I don't want to miss Christmas Eve service at church tonight. The Christmas Eve service has to be my favorite service all year. The Children's Ministry at our church, along with help from other church members, share their presentation of the Christmas Story.

I remember my participation in the Christmas Story as a child in our church. They are such wonderful memories. Whether it be playing the part of an angel, or Mary, or a shepard, it was
being able to participate in telling the story of the birth of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.

I think of Mary and what it must have been like knowing you were carrying God's son. What it must have been like to raise God's son.

Having memories of Christmas time with family and friends is nice, but when those memories include celebrating the birth of Jesus, it just magnifies the joy and wonder of the season that much more.

So from my home to yours,
Prayers, Blessings and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Happy Wednesday!

And why is it so happy? Because I'm home today. Home today working my tush off. Getting everything ready for Christmas. And yes, I took a bit of break to finish up some gifts. I made this card just because......no special plans for it yet. I used SU very vanilla and rose red paper. SU markers to color the daisies, (Flowers for Daisy set from Gina K.). Stamped once on very vanilla, masked to stamp the greenery and then stamped and colored images on watercolor paper and cut out to put on with dimensionals. Now this did need to get done today. My wedding anniversary is Saturday and I needed a card for DH. I wanted to go simple. You can't get much more simple than this. And he is my everything .
Ok. Back to the grind.
Blessings!

My first Gina K's

We got home late saturday night from DH's company Chritmas party to find goodies in the mail box. Gina K stamps! I've been drooling over these stamps for months, and finaly got a chance to order some. but it was late, so I had to wait until yesterday after church to play. This first card is from the Flowers for Daisy set, designed by Asela Hopkins. Paper, markers, ribbon, all from SU. I made another card with this set, but I can't share with you yet as it is in the mail on it's way to friend who's recovering from surgery. This next card uses The Magic of Christmas set by Rupa Shevde. The holly is from SU's Sleigh Bells set. I emossed with gold and then colored in with wondercolor crayons and blender pens. The color on the sleigh body came out pretty good, even though it wasn't meant to look that way. I thought I had gotten all of the green out of the blender pen, but that wasn't the case. So when I went to use the burgandy, it gave it a mottled look.
I also got Rupa's King of the Grill set and Gina's Tree Silhouette set. Haven't had a chance to play with them yet. Hopefully soon.
Well, I had better get going. I'm doing a big baking day on Saturday when DD comes home from college and I need to check recipes and supplies on hand to make my grocery list.
Blessings!

The Boss's Gift

Hi All,
It's late and I'm tired. I spent the afternoon doing some shopping for DH and then came home to package it. DH works for a very small company,(8 guys includ. the boss). So The guys all chipped in and I went shopping. We have the company Christmas party tomorrow night. We only had a few days notice, and the guys just figured out yesterday what they wanted to get! Good thing I had the afternoon off. The little envelope with the coffee cup on it is a GC to the coffee shop. And the rectangular card holder with the apple paper on it is for the GC for the Apple Store. The boss has an Iphone and the guys wanted to get him something for it. I stamped some apples and snowflakes on the inside. The box is just a paper mache box covered with DP. And the card on top of the box is for all the guys to sign. All stamps and paper are SU.

Have a great weekend everyone!
Blessings!

stamping again...finally!

This is a card I made just a bit ago. I haven't had a chance to stamp since before Thanksgiving. Actually I made two of these. It felt so good to be able to create again.
I used SU's purely pomegranate and pink pirouette paper. Played with my new nesties. The ribbon is SU also. I punched out the snowflakes and then pressed them into versamark and then embossed with glitter EP. It doesn't show up too well in the photo, but they do have some shimmer.

Time to go do a bit more creating.
Blessings!
