My first Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge

Happy Saturday!

I made this card for challenge #20 over at Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge http://cinemasaturdaycreativechallenge.blogspot.com/ My friend Kim turned me onto this site earlier this week. For those of you who don't know, CSCC bases their challenges on movies. This week's challenge is based on The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons.
I used SU's natural ivory, always artichoke paper and a pattern paper from the craft store. The sentiment is from PTI's Handwritten Notes. I have to say that I am LOVING Handwritten Notes. This is the 5th card I've made today and all 5 have Notes on them.

Well, I'm off to create some more.
Blessings!

Hi All,
This card was made for my friend Paulie, who turns 59 tomorrow. The image came from my friend Kathy. I colored it with Kuh-i-noor pencils. The party hats are from SU's Favorite Teddy set. The sentiment is from an Inkadinkadoo set. I also sprinkled the inside with confetti, ballons and a gift, also from the teddy set. All the paper is SU. It's late and I need to get some sleep.

Happy Birthday

This first card was made with some of the goodies DD got me for Chrstmas. SU apricot appeal and pixi pink paper. The stamps are inkadinkadoo.
This second card is for my sister-inlaw's birthday.
Isn't this image just the cutest? My friend Kim gave it to me. It comes from Stampingbella. I went to Kim's after church yesterday to play a bit. she also showed me one of her toys. A xyron machine. I've never played with one before, but I could get used to it. We ran the image through it and then sprinkled dazzling diamonds all over it. Su's kiwi kiss textured, bashful blue, and summer picnic dp. The sentiment comes from King of the Grill set that I got at Gina K.

Stamping by Candlelight?

Yes, you did read that title correct. I was stamping by candlelight this morning. Shortly after we woke up this morning the power went out. Thankfully it was only out for a few hours. We live in the country, so no power means no water. Can't get water from the well if the pump can't pump. I decided to stay home today because quite honestly, the thought of going to work without a shower just did not appeal to me.

So this card has minimal stamping. I made 4 of these. The ink and paper are SU's wild wasabi. The ribbon is PTI berry sorbet. The green paper is only a couple of inches wide. When you open the card, the inside edge of the green is scalloped.

My niece had her 2nd child over the weekend. A boy. I can't say he's little because he doesn't even fit in newborn clothes. Size 3-6 months! Time to pull out the baby stamps. I made 7 of these baby cards. I used one of the sketch challenges from Splitcoast. (I wish I could remember which one). SU's ballet blue, certainly celery, regal rose and wild wasabi paper. Appricot appeal ribbon and CB folders. The patterned paper came from Joann's.

So that's about it for today.
Blessings!

Freindship Card Challenge

This is for today's challenge over at Papertrey Ink. The anniversary celebration continues. Today's challenge was to make a card for a friend.
Stamps, ink and paper come from SU. The ribbon was found at A.C. Moore. Not quite navy, barely banana and old olive make for a great color combo. I love the sentiment on this card because it's how I feel. I have friends who do make my heart happy.

Short post tonight as I have things to do.
Blessings!

Another challenge

Ok. My computer has done it again! It flipped my photo sideways. I apologise now for any cricks you may get in your neck looking at my blog. This card was done for a sketch challenge over at Card Positioning Systems , http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/. It's part of celebrating PTI's 2nd anniversary.

I used SU pink piourette textured and basic gray paper. The image is stamped on watercolor paper with versafine black onyx ink and colored with Koh-I-Noor woodless pencils and blender pen. The ribbon is PTI sweet blush. I used one of my new CB folders for the lace edging at the bottom. The jury is still out on the little ribbon loops scattered in the flowers.

Blessings!

Celebrating over at PTI

Nichole and the gang are celebrating their 2nd anniversary over at Papertrey Ink. This card is for today's challenge.
I don't have any PTI stamps yet, but I'm hoping to change that in the near future. I do however, have some of the Berry Sorbet and Sweet Blush ribbon, paper and ink. Heck, I have it all. I purchased the I want it all collection in BS & SB when it was released last year.

This cards uses some of that paper, ink and ribbon, along with SU kiwi kiss and old olive paper. I also used some little pearls. Something else I discovered while making this card that was so cool. The little flowers from the paper were the perfect size to use with my little flower punch. So I punched some out and attachedthem with glue dots.

This would be one sweet challenge to win. The prize.....a complete collection of PTI ribbon! That's 95 spools! woohoo!

Blessings!

A bit sideways today

Happy Saturday!

Here's a card I made today. I have no clue why, but It will only post sideways. I've been so busy making, and selling Valentines that I needed a break from them. For this card I used SU dp, blue bayou and basic gray paper, basic gray ink and ribbon. I paper pieced the dress with dp. The stamp set is from Inkainkadoo and was on clearance at Joann's this past week. This dress is so pretty and just perfect for paper piecing.
I finally broke down and bought an ATG. Now I know most folks have the 3M 714, but I found a different ATG at the Tapedepot.com for a lot less. I scoured the forums on SCS to see which ATG people seemed to like. I hadn't heard anything bad about the one I got so I thought I'd give it a try. It should be here this week. woohoo!

I still don't have a logo made for Roxy Designs. I've got some ideas jumping around in the brain, but I jusy can't seem to get them down on paper.

Back to the drawing board.
Blessings!
